Funicular railways. Special solutions for transporting large unit loads.

Funicular railways consist of one or two carriages or freight platforms which are pulled along a track by a haul rope. These systems can transport unit loads of 500 t even in terrain with strong gradients of up to 60° - reliably and in all weathers.

Funiculars are used for different applications: they are suited to transport bulk material or unit loads as well as passengers, and they transport their freight quietly, fast, and safely.
